Peacock and Pattern

I wrote this pattern a long time ago and have had some wonderful feedback on Ravelry but then my old blog imploded and it was lost for sometime.  So I am posting it here for all those people that have been mailing me for months looking for it.


notes: when working sc2tog only work in the front loop of the stitches.
body:
1. 6sc in magic circle (6)
2. 2sc in each stitch around (12)
3. (2sc in 1, sc in 1) around (18)
4. (2sc in 1, sc in 2) around (24)
5. (2sc in 1, sc in 3) around (30)
6-9 sc around (30)
10. (sc2tog, sc in 3) around (24)
11. (sc2tog, sc in 2) around (18)
12-13 sc around (18)
insert safety eyes and begin stuffing
14. (2sc in 1, sc in 2) around (24)
15. sc around (24)
16. (2sc in 1, sc in 3) around (30)
17. sc around (30)
18. (2sc in 1, sc in 4) around (36)
19-23 sc around (36)
24. (sc2tog, sc in 4) around (30)
25. (sc2tog, sc in 3) around (24)
continue stuffing while working rounds.
26. (sc2tog, sc in 2) around (18)

29. close hole and finish off
beak:
1. 3sc in mc (3)

wings, make 2:
ch7, sc in 2nd ch and next, 1hdc, dc, dc, 6tcin last
working in back of stitches: dc, dc, hdc, sc, slst

continue in this manner until the circle fold in half is a size you are happy with.
now scallop the edges by skipping a stitch, 5dc in1, skst, slst, 5dc in1, and so on around.
Now fold the tail just off slightly from half so you have 2 rows of scallops showing and attach to the body.
feet, make 2:
1. 6sc in mc (6)
2. (2sc in 1) around (12)
3. popcorn, slst, popcorn, slst, popcorn, slst and FO
attach all pieces to the body and add some yarn bits to the head.


Well lets give this another try.

This will be blog number 3 for me.  I always get started alright and then get distracted.  Now I am going to try and give my crafting a real chance at being my full time job and a site is a must have.  So here we go :)
